These palapas offer a shady spot to sample the local seafood and cold beer.

Mazatlan's Los Pinos-North Beach

A shady palapa, a cold coconut, fresh shrimp and the blue Pacific, North Beach, (Playa Los Pinos) is just north of El Centro is popular with Mexican tourists and locals. There are other beaches further north in the tourist zones but if you're staying in El Centro this is close and inexpensive seafood places all along the beach.

It's an easy stroll along the Malecón to Playa Norte

A day out at a Mazatlan beach includes getting together with family under a shady palapa
and dining on seafood that would cost a fortune in many world resorts.
